The Granary

Arrival & Check-In
Your stay begins with a smooth, stress-free arrival. Check-in is from 3pm, and full instructions—including key access and parking—will be provided before you arrive. Private, off-road parking is available directly outside the cottage, with additional winter parking behind the Granary for extra shelter from icy conditions.

Departure & Checkout
Checkout is by 11 am. A full checkout guide will be provided towards the end of your stay, and later checkout may be available on request for a fee, subject to availability. We’re always happy to answer questions to make your departure easy and relaxed.

The Cottage
The Granary is a cosy, self-contained retreat for up to four guests, featuring:

  • Two Bedrooms: One with double bed and a twin with two stylish singles
  • Bathroom: Modern, well-appointed facilities
  • Kitchen: Fully equipped with oven, hob, Nespresso coffee machine, kettle, toaster, and breakfast essentials
  • Entertainment: Super-fast Wi-Fi, digital TV streaming, board games, and local books
  • Comfort: Fully heated throughout, adjustable for your preference

Outdoor Spaces & Activities
  • Private terrace, garden, and BBQ for relaxed dining
  • Tennis court available by prior booking
  • Please do not enter private areas or feed the alpacas and ducks without the host’s permission

Guest Access & Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. The Granary is adjacent to our home, where Chris and I live with our children, but your space is entirely self-contained. We’re always happy to help if needed but will only interact with you if and when you choose to reach out. Please note that we do not currently let The Granary for parties or wedding get-ready groups due to guest capacity restrictions. If you have any questions or would like further details, please get in touch with us.

  • Observe quiet hours to respect neighbours

Booking & Contact
  • You can book your stay via Airbnb, Booking.com, or directly with us. Direct booking is popular with repeat guests and allows for personal requests or tailored arrangements.

You’ll have private, off-road parking throughout your stay, right outside The Granary for easy access keeping you close and convenient for unloading and coming and going as you please and ensuring a safe and convenient arrival.

In the winter months upon request, extra parking behind the cottage provides extra shelter and protection from icy conditions.

Guests have full access to The Granary, including the bedrooms, kitchen, lounge, terrace and garden. Outdoor amenities such as the tennis court are available by prior booking, and we kindly ask guests not to enter private areas or feed the alpacas and ducks without the host’s permission.

As we live in the farmhouse adjacent to The Granary at Water Farm, some areas of the property are private, but we’re always happy to answer questions or provide assistance during your stay. Access is via key safe [details sent in the arrival guide] and we ask guests to respect the cottage, follow safety guidelines, and observe quiet hours for a comfortable experience.
